I was hired for a flood and riverbank erosion contractual project by Md. Sanaul Haque Mondal (Doctoral Research Student) for 9 days schedule (18-26 April, 2019). This was a Ph.D. thesis work for Md. Sanaul Haque Mondal for the Department of Global Engineering for Development, Environment and Society (Tokyo Institute of Technology). For the purpose of this project, I have to work in 3 different regions for all day long at Rangpur, Nilphamari and Gaibandha. I work with a research team where all of the members were associated with the department of disaster management. The work was so much challenging because we had to make data collection in an adverse environment. But, quickly we have adapted and performed the project smoothly.
My Role:
- Assisted in field visit in Nageswari which is a remote flood affected transboundary area
- Performed data analysis for research purposes
- The field visit was conducted
